Aim of hatha yoga

Aim of hatha yoga by Katie Hill

Hatha Yoga is the science of purification. In particular it foresees six types of purification because there are six types of impurities to be removed. The body has to be cleaned in six different ways and only when the body is purified the mind can find its way to freedom. The purification process allows to remove energy blocks and hence permits the free move of energies throughout your body, up to the brain. So Hatha Yoga has to create an absolute balance among the three interacting entities: body, mind and energy.

Hatha means Sun (Ha) and Moon (Tha) and its name perfectly represents the twin energy forces which coexist in everything (the body and the mind in the human being), and it is the practice of hatha yoga wich allows to armonize and unify the two.
